Coast Guard requirements dictate that each ungrounded current-carrying conductor must be protected by a manually reset, trip-free circuit breaker or fuse.
Trolling motors require a 12v battery to operate. Depending on the pounds of thrust of the motor you choose, you may require a back up battery for longer range use.
Battery range will vary due to size, weight and type of kayak in addition to kayaks load, wind and current. *Additional battery info Click Here

Lifting Feature Allows the Lifting of Motor
All transom mounts tend to trail lower than the keel of the kayak making it difficult to navigate in weeded waters, where sea grass, lily pods and debris is floating, as well as, running a ground, beach casting and landing and during portage. To resolve this issue we added a remote lifting feature to lift the motor while, sitting in your kayak and clear obstacles.

Speeds: 5 Speeds Forward / 3 Speeds Reverse
The motors have a selectors switch, 1-5 speeds forward and 3 reverse. The three blade machete propeller is included with 55 lbs. trolling motors. The two blade machete propeller are included with 32 lb and 46 lb trolling motors. The machete propeller allows for more torque to push the kayak forward in choppy waters or windy conditions, in addition, to cut through weeds and debris with minimal fouling. Remote Controllers are IP54, splash proof - not submersible.

Conventional Trolling Motors are the most commonly used motor for boating and kayaking. They are cost affective and are equipped with 5 forward / 2 reverse speeds. They are primarily designed to propel you quickly to your desired destination or fishing hole, and then reposition your boat or kayak when currents or wind blow you off course.
Understanding Conventional Speeds:
- 1st and 2nd speeds are designed for “short bursts” only, not to exceed 15 minutes intervals at a time. "Not for trolling", as it will damage these two speeds.
- 3rd speed is for covering larger areas, traveling and mostly getting around while conserving battery.
- 4th speed is for traveling longer distances faster.
- 5th speed is for when speed is required, such as a change in the weather, current, chop waters or an emergency; getting to safety or shore quickly.
Battery Compatibility: Deep Cycle Marine, AGM and GEL batteries. Conventional trolling motors are Not compatible with Lithium-Ion / LiFePO4 batteries
