Trolling motors are sealed unbreakable shaft, 12 volts, available in Freshwater (FW) and Salt Water (SW), 32lbs, 46lbs and 55lbs of thrust. Zinc anode on salt water models only. Remote control is hand held. No access hatch or rudder system required

Choosing Between A Conventional Trolling Motor and Variable Speed Trolling Motor
Conventional Trolling Motors are the most commonly used motor for boating and kayaking. They are cost affective and are equipped with 5 forward / 2 reverse speeds. They are primarily designed to propel you quickly to your desired destination or fishing hole, and then reposition your boat or kayak when currents or wind blow you off course.
Understanding Conventional Speeds:
- 1st and 2nd speeds are designed for “short bursts” only, not to exceed 15 minutes intervals at a time. "Not for trolling", as it will damage these two speeds.
- 3rd speed is for covering larger areas, traveling and mostly getting around while conserving battery.
- 4th speed is for traveling longer distances faster.
- 5th speed is for when speed is required, such as a change in the weather, current, chop waters or an emergency; getting to safety or shore quickly.

The motors have a selectors switch, 1-5 speeds forward and 3 reverse. The three blade machete propeller is included with 55lbs trolling motors. The two blade machete propeller are included with 46lbs and 32lb trolling motors. The machete propeller allows for more torque to push the kayak forward in choppy waters or windy conditions, in addition, to cut through weeds and debris with minimal fouling.
